Regulatory & Litigation Counsel – Contract (Remote)

About the role

This contract position supports a leading global technology company’s legal and regulatory affairs team. The role focuses on responding to European regulator inquiries and managing litigation related to privacy, online safety, and digital platform governance.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to regulator requests for information (RFIs), investigations, and enforcement inquiries.
• Advise internal stakeholders on compliance and risk issues affecting digital products.
• Support large‑scale regulatory investigations and enforcement actions across Europe.
• Engage with European authorities such as Ofcom, the ICO, and the DPC.
• Coordinate with legal, policy, privacy, and product teams to develop response strategies.
• Prepare regulatory submissions, documentation, and compliance initiatives.
• Provide practical guidance on digital regulatory frameworks throughout the product lifecycle.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience advising technology or digital platform companies on regulatory matters.
• Proven experience supporting regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, or litigation involving privacy, technology, or consumer protection.
• Familiarity with European regulators (Ofcom, ICO, DPC) and digital regulatory frameworks.
• Prior in‑house experience at a major technology company is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
