Reliability and Maintainability Engineer

About the role

Boeing Defence UK is seeking a Reliability and Maintainability Engineer to support new business opportunities on the E‑7 Wedgetail aircraft. You will join the Product Support Engineering Department and work closely with senior stakeholders to improve R&M performance across our defence programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Execute contracted R&M work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide analytical capability to transform fleet data into actionable insights for R&M decision‑making.
• Support and review Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), failure analysis and FRACAS processes.
• Coordinate, monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for R&M activities.
• Identify and deploy data‑driven enhancements to improve reliability and maintainability.
• Contribute to company initiatives such as quality improvement, safety culture, diversity & inclusion, mentoring and STEM outreach.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• Proven experience in reliability and maintainability engineering, preferably within aerospace or defence.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in fleet data analysis and digital data exploitation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines and senior stakeholders.
