Relief Access Control Officer

About the role

The Access Control Officer will be the first point of contact for visitors, contractors and clients at the site, ensuring that access is granted in line with bookings and security procedures. The role works on a relief basis across rotating day and night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide site access using C‑Cure 9000 and VM Easy systems.
• Follow operational instructions, including alarm response and building access protocols.
• Report and escalate issues to Corps Security and on‑site management.
• Produce clear operational reports within required timeframes.
• Maintain awareness of site systems, procedures and changes in occupier activities.
• Support service‑improvement initiatives and liaise with external authorities such as police.
• Respond to incidents including medical emergencies, fire alarms and evacuations.
• Carry out additional administrative duties as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar access‑control or security role.
• Strong administration, communication and organisational abilities.
• Valid SIA Front‑Line License (essential).
• Knowledge of Access Control Software, preferably C‑Cure 9000.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and multitask.
• Capability to achieve BS7858 vetting standards.

Required skills

• C‑Cure 9000 (or similar) access‑control software.
• VM Easy visitor‑management system.
• Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
• General IT proficiency.
