About the role
Quest of Life, a community‑led charity transitioning from a CIC to a registered UK charity, seeks a Remote Volunteer Secretary & Compliance Trustee. This role supports the trustee team with governance administration and compliance tasks, offering a flexible commitment of 2–4 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain governance and organisational records.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and document decisions.
- Assist with trustee onboarding and related administrative processes.
- Track basic compliance deadlines and filing requirements.
- Draft, format, and organise internal documents.
- Monitor action items and follow‑ups from trustee meetings.
- Update basic policy and governance documents as needed.
Required profile
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
- Interest in UK charity governance, compliance, or nonprofit operations.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a remote volunteer environment.
- Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines.
