Remote Welding Quality Inspector (Off‑Tools)

About the role

This permanent position is for a Welding Quality Inspector who will work entirely off‑tools and remotely. You will support the quality department of a large, internationally recognised manufacturer, ensuring that all customer‑supplied fabrications meet the required welding, surface preparation and coating standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect customer‑supplied fabrications for compliance with welding, surface preparation and coating specifications.
• Review and approve welding procedures and related documentation.
• Write, review and approve new procedures, focusing on externally supplied work.
• Manage supplier non‑conformances and conduct root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Current Welder/Fabricator or Welding Inspector seeking a desk‑based, off‑tools role.
• Holding recognised welding inspection qualifications (e.g., BS EN 287‑1/2, 3.1/3.2).
• Motivated to work remotely full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑4 pm.
