Research Manager – FMCG Sensory & Consumer Research

About the role

The Research Manager will act as the primary client liaison for FMCG projects, overseeing the full research lifecycle from proposal to delivery. Reporting to an Associate Research Director, you will manage key accounts and drive innovative sensory and consumer research solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead 2‑3 FMCG accounts, building strong client partnerships and meeting revenue targets.
• Own end‑to‑end project delivery, including proposal writing, questionnaire design, data interpretation, and story‑led reporting.
• Negotiate contracts and specifications both technically and financially.
• Coordinate internal specialists and supervise fieldwork locally and internationally.
• Line‑manage a junior team of 1‑3 researchers/technicians.
• Participate in internal projects to strengthen expertise and contribute to company growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the FMCG research industry.
• Proven experience with core product testing methodologies such as HUTs, CLTs, and IDIs.
• Strong background in quantitative consumer research methods.
• Solid understanding of qualitative research and when to apply it.
