Residential Service Manager – Registered Manager

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is based in a specialist residential care home in Hastings, East Sussex. The role leads a dedicated team providing person‑centred support for adults with Prader‑Willi syndrome and other complex needs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the residential home, ensuring high‑quality care and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Lead, motivate and develop staff to deliver best‑practice social care.
• Manage budgets, resources and processes to support service effectiveness.
• Drive continuous improvement and service development initiatives.
• Maintain strong relationships with residents, families and external partners.

Required profile

• NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Previous managerial experience in a residential or learning‑disability setting.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care.
• Strong knowledge of UK regulatory standards for health and social care.
• Excellent decision‑making, organisational and communication abilities.
• Flexible, proactive ‘can‑do’ attitude.
