SAP Developer

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP Developer to support a large‑scale SAP transformation programme. The role focuses on cloud integrations, modern extensibility, and reducing legacy customisation by applying clean core principles as the organisation moves towards SAP Rise and SAP Integration Suite.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop integrations using SAP Integration Suite/CPI across REST, SOAP, SFTP, JDBC and event‑driven architectures.
• Build side‑by‑side extensions and cloud applications on SAP BTP using CAP/RAP, Node.js, Java and SAP Business Application Studio.
• Develop and enhance SAP Fiori/UI5 applications with a strong emphasis on user experience and clean core architecture.
• Support integrations between SAP S/4HANA and internal or third‑party platforms.
• Manage secure connectivity, authentication and authorisation across SAP BTP environments.
• Assist migration activities from legacy integration platforms to SAP BTP.
• Produce technical documentation, perform testing, debugging and code reviews.
• Collaborate closely with functional and project teams to deliver solutions within agreed timelines.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP BTP development.
• Proven expertise in SAP Integration Suite/CPI and enterprise integration patterns.
• Knowledge of CAP and/or RAP frameworks.
• Experience developing SAP Fiori/UI5 applications.
• Understanding of clean core and side‑by‑side extensibility principles.
• Ability to integrate SAP S/4HANA with broader business systems.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and problem‑solving skills.
