Science Technician – Secondary School (London)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Science Technician to support practical learning in a secondary school in Hammersmith and Fulham, London. The role starts full‑time in September 2026 and involves preparing and maintaining laboratory facilities for science lessons.

Key responsibilities

• Set up practical equipment and resources for science lessons.
• Assist teachers with demonstrations and experiments.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure resources are available.
• Monitor and replenish stock supplies.
• Support safe working practices and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with science staff to enhance practical learning opportunities.

Required profile

• Experience in a laboratory, school, or similar technical environment (preferred).
• Understanding of science equipment and safe working practices.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively.
• Positive attitude and willingness to support students and staff.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
