About the role
We are seeking a nurturing and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs in a supportive school located in Kings Heath, Birmingham. This full‑time, five‑day‑a‑week position involves direct assistance with personal care and classroom activities.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with special educational needs.
- Assist with personal care tasks, ensuring dignity and safety.
- Support the classroom teacher in delivering tailored lesson plans.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and care activities.
- Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Required profile
- Compassionate, patient, and hands‑on approach.
- Reliable and punctual, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff.
Required skills
- Experience or training in supporting pupils with special educational needs.
