About the role
We are seeking a compassionate SEND Class Teacher to lead a small primary class of pupils with complex learning needs. You will deliver personalised learning programmes that promote communication, independence and academic progress in a supportive special school environment.
Key responsibilities
- Teach a small class of primary‑aged pupils with complex needs.
- Plan and deliver highly differentiated, engaging lessons.
- Support pupils’ communication, independence and personal development.
- Collaborate closely with Teaching Assistants and specialist professionals.
- Contribute to EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress.
- Create an inclusive, nurturing classroom atmosphere.
- Build strong relationships with families and external agencies.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching children with SEND or complex needs.
- Strong understanding of autism, communication needs and personalised learning.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Patient, creative and nurturing approach.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Genuine passion for helping children with additional needs succeed.
