SEND Teacher – Primary Specialist (Full‑time, Birmingham)

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join a welcoming primary SEND school in Birmingham. You will deliver personalised, engaging lessons for pupils with a range of additional needs, working alongside experienced teaching assistants, therapists and other SEND professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Teach pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, SLCN, MLD, SLD and complex needs.
- Support pupils in achieving their EHCP outcomes.
- Create a nurturing, structured classroom environment that promotes safety and motivation.
- Apply positive behaviour management strategies to support emotional regulation.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and external professionals.
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching approaches to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or demonstrable experience teaching pupils with SEND.
- Experience in an SEN Hub, Resource Base, Inclusion Unit or specialist provision within a mainstream primary school is highly desirable.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Strong understanding of inclusive practice and EHCP delivery.
