SEND Teacher – Specialist School (Full‑Time, Temp‑to‑Perm)

About the role
You will join a dynamic specialist school in Birmingham, supporting learners with a range of special educational needs across all key stages. The position is full‑time and initially temporary with the prospect of becoming permanent.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver the National Curriculum, adapting content and delivery to meet the needs of students with ASD, MLD, SLCN and Global Development Delay.
- Integrate life‑skills learning with academic instruction using modern facilities.
- Adjust teaching strategies in real time to respond to shifting learning trajectories.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to create inclusive, flexible learning environments.
Required profile
- Passion for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across multiple age groups.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) qualification, or strong teaching experience with a willingness to obtain formal credentials.
- Resilience, kindness and a commitment to student‑centred practice.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
