Senior Early Years Policy Manager

About the role

The Senior Early Years Policy Manager will lead the development and implementation of policies that shape early years education across the nation. Working within a mission‑driven organisation, you will influence national policy, champion evidence‑based practice and ensure that disadvantaged children receive high‑quality support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and advocate policy positions that focus on equity, quality of practice and evidence use in early years settings.
• Collaborate with the Programme Lead and Head of Policy to set priorities and build strategic relationships.
• Communicate policy recommendations to diverse audiences, including policymakers, practitioners and partners.
• Support professional development initiatives for early years teachers and leaders.
• Lead projects that improve training, evaluation and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of early years policy developments and inform senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in education policy or a closely related field.
• Deep understanding of the early years landscape in England.
• Demonstrated ability to influence policy and work with senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

• Salary of £53,050 per annum.
