Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

About the role

Heim is building an AI‑native ecosystem to bring clinical care into patients' homes. As a Senior Full‑Stack Software Engineer you will own end‑to‑end product features and AI‑powered workflows that directly impact patient scheduling and nurse efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build product features end‑to‑end across the Heim tech stack, from first principles to production.
• Architect and implement AI‑powered workflows such as scheduling optimisation, practitioner dispatch and clinical data enrichment.
• Own the full lifecycle of features – frontend, backend, infrastructure, deployment pipelines and testing – without relying on separate DevOps or QA teams.
• Build and maintain APIs, services and data models with the reliability and auditability required in a regulated environment.
• Collaborate with product and clinical operations teams to translate ambiguous real‑world problems into working software.

Required profile

• 6+ years building and owning production software in fast‑moving environments.
• Genuine full‑stack capability – able to own UI, backend, infrastructure and CI/CD without hand‑off.
• Active, fluent use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) as a default workflow.
• Experience making data‑sensitive engineering decisions, considering PII classification, schema flexibility and audit requirements.
• Proven track record of shipping under ambiguity and making pragmatic trade‑offs between speed and quality.
