Senior GPU Top Micro-Architect

About the role

The Top Design team at Apple’s UK GPU Design Centre is looking for a Senior GPU Top Micro‑Architect. You will lead the development of micro‑architecture and RTL for critical top‑level GPU infrastructure IP, collaborating across graphics architecture, verification and physical design teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop micro‑architecture for owned IP blocks and system‑level GPU improvements.
• Design, synthesize, and verify IP blocks including interconnects, control logic, and clocking/reset distribution.
• Perform CDC/RDC verification and contribute to GPU top‑level assembly and integration.
• Debug and analyse top‑level design issues and prepare deliverables for physical design hand‑off.
• Manage codeline across multiple products and chips, review RTL implementations and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Expertise in digital design and logic synthesis.
• Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog or VHDL and revision control systems.
• Ability to solve complex problems across team boundaries under aggressive schedules.
• Minimum qualifications include solid design experience; preferred qualifications include knowledge of computer architecture, large‑scale SoC/GPU design, and scripting.
