Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer will lead the design and implementation of collaboration tooling platforms for the Financial Times, ensuring they meet the needs of staff across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical design and architectural decisions for collaboration tooling platforms.
• Act as subject matter expert for AI capabilities within collaboration tooling.
• Engage with other disciplines and teams across FT Technology to ensure effective collaboration.
• Contribute to product and renewal roadmaps for owned tools.
• Stay abreast of marketplace developments and understand tool capabilities.
• Manage and select suppliers of key collaboration tools.
• Liaise with vendors and internal customers.
• Establish and promote engineering standards, operational practices and architectural principles.
