Senior Project Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager for a well‑established construction consultancy in Birmingham. You will lead industrial and logistics projects from initial feasibility through to completion and handover, taking ownership of delivery, stakeholder management, commercial performance and programme management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from brief and feasibility stages to completion and handover.
• Manage industrial and logistics schemes within live operational environments.
• Coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams to meet programme, budget and quality targets.
• Prepare and maintain project programmes, progress reports and key‑stage documentation.
• Chair project meetings, communicate with stakeholders and provide updates to clients and senior teams.
• Support procurement, tendering and contractor appointment processes.
• Administer NEC and JCT contracts, handling commercial, contractual and risk matters.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality standards.
• Build strong client relationships and identify business development opportunities.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of project delivery in industrial and logistics sectors.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in consultancy or client‑side environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with a proactive client‑facing approach.
• Commercially aware, with proven budget, risk and procurement management.
• Degree qualified in Construction Project Management or a related discipline; MRICS, MAPM or chartership progress is beneficial.
