Senior Site Engineer - Integrated Gas & Carbon Capture Project

About the Position

Join a pioneering energy project as a Site Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in implementing the engineering strategy for a state-of-the-art integrated gas power plant with carbon capture technology. Located in Redcar and Cleveland, this position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge sustainable energy solutions within a high-impact environment.

Main Missions

• Support the implementation of the engineering strategy and project framework for the carbon capture integrated gas plant.
• Manage materials, equipment, and labor within budgetary constraints while ensuring maximum safety and efficiency.
• Communicate technical systems, procedures, and quality requirements to all stakeholders.
• Verify on-site works and provide expert technical support to ensure compliance with project standards.
• Conduct quality assurance activities, including audits and technical meetings.
• Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers.
• Coach project teams and ensure engineering solutions are optimized from initial concept through to long-term maintenance.
• Produce detailed weekly and monthly progress reports and leverage digital tools to optimize project delivery.

Profile Required

• Proven experience in site engineering, preferably within the energy, gas, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Strong understanding of CDM regulations and site-specific constraints.
• Ability to manage complex resources (materials, equipment, manpower) under strict budgetary limits.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders and senior management.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous technical improvement and team coaching.
