Senior System Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior System Design Engineer to lead the design and optimisation of next‑generation power‑electronics converters for electric vehicles, rail, and renewable energy applications. You will work in a cutting‑edge engineering environment, applying AI and generative AI techniques to accelerate development.

Key responsibilities

• Design and simulate power‑electronics converter systems across the full product lifecycle.
• Develop prototypes, integrate hardware, and conduct testing to validate performance.
• Define technical specifications, system interfaces, and documentation.
• Research emerging technologies and market trends, reporting findings to the team.
• Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and research partners to ensure successful project delivery.

Required profile

• Degree or PhD in Power Electronics or a related engineering discipline.
• Extensive experience with converter design (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC) and high‑voltage devices (IGBT or SiC MOSFET 1200V+).
• Practical knowledge of applying AI or generative AI within engineering workflows.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for cross‑functional teamwork.
