Senior Tax Manager (Director Level) – up to £150k + Bonus – Hybrid – London

About the role

This Director‑level position supports a leading European investment bank in London, providing high‑impact corporate and international tax advice. The role combines strategic tax planning with hands‑on transactional support in a complex financial‑services environment, working closely with senior stakeholders across the Front Office, Legal and Compliance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver corporate tax advisory on major transactions and business initiatives.
• Lead international tax matters, with a focus on transfer pricing and treaty interpretation.
• Apply BEPS, Pillar II and AEOI frameworks to ensure compliance.
• Support and review calculations for the UK Bank Levy.
• Translate complex tax issues into clear, actionable insights for senior business leaders.
• Contribute to tax risk management, governance and compliance reporting.

Required profile

• CTA and/or ACA qualification.
• Extensive UK corporate tax experience within a banking environment.
• Strong understanding of financial products and their tax implications.
• Proven experience in international tax and transfer pricing.
• Background in a major accounting firm or in‑house banking tax function.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage non‑tax stakeholders.

Required skills

• Bank Levy calculation experience.
• VAT knowledge (beneficial).
