Senior Vehicles Engineer – Rolling Stock Commercial Support

About the role

Join Transport for London’s Operating Assets – Vehicles Engineering team as a Senior Vehicles Engineer. You will be based in Southwark and work on the London Underground Rolling Stock Commercial Support team, providing engineering insight and technical support for procurement of parts, services and materials.

Key responsibilities

• Develop Technical Requirements Specifications (TRSs) and Technical Product Specifications (TPSs) for competitive procurement tenders.
• Deliver early market engagement presentations and assessments.
• Conduct non‑competitive transaction assessments.
• Provide domain expertise and technical guidance to the Procurement Team.
• Support additional procurement activities and future technical support for vehicle fleet maintenance, rolling stock assurance and depot engineering.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Rolling Stock engineering role.
• Familiarity with recent developments and best practices in public transport engineering.
• Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
