About the role

Southern Water is embarking on a major IT transformation and is expanding its Enterprise Content Management capabilities. As a SharePoint Developer you will join the Digital Workspace team, supporting the M365 stack and delivering innovative collaboration solutions in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain templated SharePoint sites and solutions based on business requirements.
  • Implement new releases of SharePoint applications, including configuration, testing and integration.
  • Provide 2nd‑line support and administration for SharePoint Online.
  • Support the ECM / Power Platform Centre of Excellence and company archive solutions.
  • Produce specifications and designs aligned with enterprise architecture.
  • Create mechanisms for structured and unstructured information storage and access.
  • Develop and execute test schedules to ensure solution quality.
  • Liaise with integration teams and suppliers during development and implementation phases.
  • Analyse business needs and design lean processes for Enterprise Content Management.
  • Maintain robust documentation and support for new and upgraded applications.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in SharePoint development and support.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise content management and collaboration tools.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
  • Ability to work across software engineering, service delivery and project delivery teams.

Required skills

  • SharePoint Online administration and development.
  • Microsoft 365 (M365) stack.
  • Power Platform, including Power Automate.
  • Enterprise Content Management (ECM) principles.
  • Technical documentation and user training.
  • ServiceNow and ITIL processes (desirable).

What we offer

  • Hybrid working model (office in Durrington and remote).
  • Permanent contract, 37 hours per week.
  • Salary range £40,000‑£50,000 per annum.
