Site Supervisor – Recycling Centre

About the role
The Site Supervisor will lead the EcoPark Recycling team at the Edmonton Recycling Centre, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operation of the Reuse & Recycling Centre (RRC). You will support day‑to‑day activities, step in for senior managers when required, and help drive continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure RRC operations comply with waste‑management permits, regulations and company procedures.
- Conduct site inspections, report findings and maintain staff and public safety.
- Manage site expenditure, vehicle and plant usage, and meet contractual performance targets.
- Lead, motivate and train staff, resolve employee relations issues and supervise subcontractors.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, landlords, tenants and regulatory bodies.
Required profile
- Previous experience in waste operations, recycling or related industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Proven ability to manage a team and handle budgeting and reporting responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
Required skills
- Familiarity with vehicle and mobile plant operation and maintenance.
- Experience using electronic site management systems (e.g., Gatehouse system).

- Salary of £35,975.72 per year plus a 7.5% shift allowance.
- Full‑time permanent contract.
