Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher – Manchester

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join Pioneer House SEN School in Manchester. You will work in a supportive, inclusive environment, helping pupils with a range of additional needs achieve their personal and academic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Support pupils with EHCPs and other additional needs, fostering progress toward their goals.
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom where every child feels valued.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, the SENCO, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, adapting strategies as required.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs in a mainstream or specialist setting.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
• A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach with a genuine passion for inclusive education.
