Specialist Hygiene Technician – Croydon

About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Hygiene Technician to join our Croydon team, serving Central London and surrounding areas. The role involves delivering a wide range of hygiene and specialised cleaning services, from bio‑hazard and infection control to crime‑scene and flood‑damage remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer calls and work on an on‑call rota, providing reactive cleaning solutions.
• Perform bio‑hazard, sharps, trauma, crime‑scene, flood‑water, and infection‑control cleaning across residential, commercial and institutional premises.
• Carry out high‑level, silo and factory cleaning tasks, including work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Offer professional advice to customers and maintain a high standard of service and presentation.
• Document work performed and ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence held for at least two years with no more than six penalty points.
• Self‑motivated, reliable, proactive and able to manage your own schedule.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and participate in an on‑call rota.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check where required.

Required skills

• Capability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces.

• Competitive salary starting at £26,655 p.a. plus allowance, with OTE around £35,000.
