Mall Cleaner

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Mall Cleaner to join our housekeeping team at Forge Shopping Centre. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. This role is essential to ensuring the centre remains presentable during busy trading periods.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout the shopping centre.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas including malls, corridors, entrances, toilets, lifts, escalators, stairwells, and staff areas.
• Sweep, mop, polish, and disinfect surfaces as required.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and efficiently.
• Respond promptly to spillages and cleaning emergencies.
• Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet paper, and hand towels in washroom facilities.
• Use cleaning equipment and machinery safely and correctly.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including COSHH regulations.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, or damages to supervisors.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with the public.

Required profile

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, busy public environment.
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays if required.
• Good communication skills.
