Specialist Hygiene Technician – Field Service

About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Hygiene Technician to join Rentokil’s Thetford branch, serving customers in Slough, Luton and surrounding areas. The role involves travelling to a variety of sites to deliver professional hygiene and cleaning services, managing your own schedule and solving unique customer problems on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Provide bio‑hazard, flood‑water damage, infection‑control, and crime‑scene cleaning services.
• Clean police and prison cells, remove sharps, and perform trauma‑scene decontamination.
• Carry out technical cleaning tasks such as factory, high‑level, and silo cleaning.
• Work reactively in a fast‑paced environment, often on an on‑call rota.
• Offer expert advice to customers and maintain a professional image at all times.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence held for at least two years (≤6 penalty points).
• Self‑motivated, reliable and proactive with excellent customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work varied patterns and on‑call shifts.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check where required.
