About the role
As a Specialist One‑to‑One Study Skills Support Worker you will provide personalised learning support and academic guidance to students. You will create individual learning plans tailored to each student’s needs and encourage them to become independent learners.
Key responsibilities
- Develop independence in students
- Build on strengths and learning strategies
- Create organisation and time‑management strategies
- Design action plans to keep studies on track
- Enhance research skills using a variety of sources
- Identify appropriate sources and apply correct referencing
- Improve comprehension skills in reading and writing
Required profile
- Minimum undergraduate degree (Level 6)
- Teaching qualification
- Completed recognised training in adult autism (e.g., 6 National Autistic Society modules or the Optimum Training Course)
