Staff Nurse – Hospital at Home (Glasgow)

About the role

The Hospital at Home service is expanding across Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire, delivering acute‑level care to patients in their own homes. As a Staff Nurse you will join the multidisciplinary team based at Royal Alexandra Hospital, providing safe, high‑quality nursing for frail adults with acute changes.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan and implement individual care programmes under the direction of the Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP).
• Deliver acute interventions and monitor patients on the virtual ward, ensuring timely escalation when needed.
• Utilise clinical and environmental risk assessment tools to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Collaborate with front‑door teams (ED, MAU, AMU, Older Adults assessment unit) and flow navigation colleagues to admit suitable patients.
• Document care accurately and contribute to multidisciplinary case reviews.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a current NMC UK PIN.
• Valid UK driving licence (car driver necessary).
• Experience in community or acute care settings is desirable.
• Ability to work 36 hours per week on a 5‑over‑7 shift pattern (8 am‑8 pm, including public holidays).
