Staff Nurse – Woodland View, Ayrshire Central Hospital

About the role

The NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join Ward 1 Woodland View at Ayrshire Central Hospital. This is a permanent, part‑time role (23 hours per week) on a flexible rotational shift pattern, supporting a busy 30‑bed general rehabilitation ward.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to patients on the rehabilitation ward.
• Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure evidence‑based practice.
• Maintain accurate documentation and keep clinical skills up to date.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to nursing students and junior staff.
• Manage time efficiently and communicate clearly with patients, families, and colleagues.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Familiarity with Ayrshire & Arran policies and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to supervise and mentor junior staff and students.
