Store Manager – Convenience

About the role

As a Store Manager you will act as the ‘shopkeeper’ of a Morrisons convenience store in Fareham, leading the team to deliver excellent customer service and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team, overseeing recruitment, induction, training and creating an inclusive culture.
• Drive commercial performance, treating the store as your own business and seeking ways to improve the offering.
• Maintain strong relationships with the local community and, where applicable, manage post‑office service requirements.
• Work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights and weekends, to meet customer needs.

Required profile

• Experience in fast‑paced, service‑focused environments such as retail, convenience or hospitality.
• Passion for spotting and developing talent, coaching and motivating staff.
• Resilience, problem‑solving ability and willingness to roll up sleeves to support store objectives.
