Subject Lead – Business Modules (Foundation School)

About the role

London College of Contemporary Arts is seeking two experienced Subject Leads to provide academic leadership for business modules across its Foundation School. You will shape the curriculum for Level 3 Foundation Year (Business pathway) and Levels 4‑5 Applied Business Management, Hospitality and Event Management programmes, ensuring a stimulating and industry‑relevant learning experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the vision and coherence of assigned business modules, aligning them with programme specifications and industry expectations.
• Design and maintain high‑quality teaching materials, delivery plans and Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) content.
• Create innovative assessments, marking schemes and provide developmental feedback to students.
• Oversee standardisation, moderation and quality‑assurance processes to ensure fairness across delivery groups.
• Analyse student data (NSS feedback, retention, progression) to identify improvement opportunities and implement enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with Module Coordinators and teaching teams to ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery.

Required profile

• Relevant postgraduate or professional qualification in Business, Management or a related discipline.
• Substantial experience teaching, learning and assessing within Higher Education.
• Demonstrated expert knowledge of the business landscape, supported by scholarship or professional practice.
• Strong understanding of HE quality processes, moderation and academic integrity.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide academic teams.
