Supplier Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Supplier Development Manager to join Airbus and be based predominantly at one of our supplier’s sites across the UK. You will collaborate with the wider Airbus Procurement Operations (PO) organisation and report to the Head of the team. This role offers the chance to support and develop Airbus’s supply chain within a leading aircraft manufacturer.

Key responsibilities

• Lead detailed assessment and evaluation of a supplier’s industrial situation.
• Define action plans with the supplier and SCQM to improve or stabilise performance.
• Ensure engagement and commitment from both supplier and Airbus teams to achieve expected results.
• Detail tactical plans with stakeholders and secure mission outcomes according to agreed road‑maps.
• Identify required competences, build project teams with supplier and Airbus personnel, and develop the team’s skillset.
• Travel frequently and undertake long stays at supplier sites as required.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience in the aerospace or a similar industry.
• Experience applying industrial and lean competencies.
• Background in supply chain management.
