Supply Teacher – Primary Schools in Merton

About the role
Join a high‑volume supply teaching pool for primary schools across Merton. Enjoy flexible, local assignments that let you choose when and where you work while gaining experience in a variety of welcoming school environments.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons using the absent teacher’s planning.
- Supervise and support pupils throughout the school day, including lessons, break times and lunchtime.
- Maintain excellent classroom behaviour in line with each school’s policy.
- Complete routine teaching duties such as registers, assemblies and other daily tasks.
- Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment while following safeguarding and health‑and‑safety procedures.
Required profile
- Qualified Primary Teacher with QTS (ECTs are encouraged to apply).
- Flexible, adaptable and dependable with strong classroom‑management skills.
- Friendly, approachable, punctual and passionate about making a positive impact.
- Willing to work across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
- Able to travel to mainstream primary schools across Merton for an 8:15 am (latest 8:30 am) start.
