System Safety & Reliability Engineer Graduate Programme

About the role

Join Airbus as a Graduate System Safety & Reliability Engineer and embark on a two‑year development journey. You will be integrated into a European safety engineering team, focusing on landing gear and fuel systems for commercial aircraft, and will gain exposure to the full aircraft lifecycle from R&T to continued airworthiness.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with a network of 70+ safety engineers across Europe to deliver functional and physical safety activities.
• Perform System Safety Assessments, analyse failure modes, and ensure compliance with design requirements.
• Provide safety assessments for in‑service occurrences on fuel and landing‑gear systems.
• Conduct Particular Risk Analyses (wheel/tyre failure, fuel‑tank safety) and Zonal Safety Analyses for new designs and modifications.
• Work closely with Design Office, Flight Test, Certification and Manufacturing Engineering teams, including at least one rotational placement.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant STEM discipline (or equivalent).
• Recent graduate or early‑career experience in aerospace systems or safety engineering.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset with a drive for innovation and self‑development.
• High attention to detail, organisational ability and genuine interest in the aerospace sector.
