Talent Partner – Build & Lead People Function

About the role

Outpost is seeking a Talent Partner to own the end‑to‑end hiring process and later build the full people function. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will shape the team, culture and people practices of a fast‑scaling, category‑defining startup.

Key responsibilities

• Own the complete recruiting cycle – sourcing, screening, closing – for critical roles across engineering, commercial, operations and legal.
• Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and create a candidate experience that reflects Outpost’s values.
• Design and implement onboarding programmes that get new hires productive quickly.
• Develop performance frameworks, compensation structures and employee‑experience rituals.
• Build and maintain people‑ops systems, tools, contracts and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Create documentation, playbooks and employer‑brand assets for all people‑related processes.

Required profile

• In‑house recruiting experience at a fast‑scaling startup or scale‑up (e.g., Revolut, Monzo, Wise, Checkout.com).
• Track record hiring across multiple functions – engineering, commercial, operations.
• Demonstrated ability to close hard‑to‑get candidates in competitive markets.
• Focus on quality over speed and a strong sense of culture building.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a bias for action in a startup environment.
