Tax Controversy Professionals – Multiple Positions in London

About the role

EY’s Tax Controversy and Risk Management (TCRM) team is expanding and is looking for multiple professionals to join its London office. You will work on complex tax disputes, engage proactively with HMRC, and help clients achieve certainty on tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of tax controversy projects, ensuring technical and commercial excellence.
• Liaise with clients and coordinate with the wider tax and client account teams.
• Drive activities that achieve effective tax outcomes and certainty for clients.
• Assist in the preparation of SAO certification, tax strategy publications, and Business Risk Review+ discussions.

Required profile

• Broad experience in corporate tax compliance or advisory with a desire to focus on controversy and dispute resolution.
• Previous tax controversy experience is preferred but not essential.
• Strong tax technical skills and the ability to analyse and interpret tax statutes.
• Excellent communication skills, collaborative mindset, and ability to identify and escalate risk.
• ACA/CA/ACCA/CTA (or equivalent) or Tax Inspector experience with relevant technical training for manager‑level roles.
