Teaching Assistant – Flexible Opportunities in South Birmingham & Solihull

About the role
Hays Education is recruiting enthusiastic Teaching Assistants for a variety of primary schools across South Birmingham and Solihull as the new academic year begins. The role offers both full‑time and part‑time placements, with flexible options to suit your availability.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in primary classrooms.
- Assist class teachers in delivering engaging lessons and provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support.
- Deliver general classroom assistance, 1:1 support, and SEN support as required.
- Cover short‑term or long‑term supply assignments, both full‑time and part‑time.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or in a school setting.
- Relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (CACHE, NVQ or equivalent) is desirable.
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is advantageous.
- Passion for helping children learn, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Required skills
- Knowledge of EYFS, KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
- Ability to provide tailored support to pupils with SEN.
