Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 4 Support (Autism)

About the role

This full‑time, temporary position supports a Key Stage 4 pupil with autism and moderate learning difficulties in a specialist SEND school. You will work one‑to‑one with the child, delivering tailored assistance throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide 1‑2‑1 support in a Key Stage 4 classroom.
  • Assist with group activities and classroom tasks as required.
  • Manage attitudes and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Adapt support to meet a range of special educational needs.

Required profile

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience supporting children with autism and moderate learning difficulties.
  • Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Passion for working in an award‑winning SEND setting.
