Teaching Assistant – KS2 Intervention Support

About the role

A welcoming primary school in Lambeth is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to deliver targeted KS2 intervention programmes. You will work closely with class teachers and the inclusion team to support pupils in reading, writing and mathematics, helping them build confidence and close learning gaps.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver small‑group and one‑to‑one intervention sessions for Key Stage 2 pupils.
• Support literacy, numeracy and comprehension activities.
• Reinforce classroom learning through focused academic support.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Foster a calm, focused and engaging learning environment.

Required profile

• Experience working with primary‑aged children.
• Confidence delivering targeted learning interventions.
• Good literacy and numeracy understanding.
• Organised, reliable and a strong team player.
• Motivated to engage pupils of varying abilities.
