Technical Operations Manager

About the role

The Stepstone Group is looking for a Technical Operations Manager to oversee and optimise technology operations within the User Products portfolio. You will act as a bridge between technology and product leadership, ensuring seamless delivery of solutions that align with the company’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Take full accountability for one or more technology systems and processes, monitoring performance and driving cost‑effective improvements.
• Lead technology planning and roadmap development, aligning quarterly and annual initiatives with strategic objectives.
• Maintain deep knowledge of the full product and software development lifecycle, tracking dependencies and proactively resolving risks and bottlenecks.
• Serve as the primary liaison between technology teams and business units, delivering clear status updates and risk assessments to technical and non‑technical audiences, including executives.
• Analyse delivery metrics, system performance and business outcomes to provide actionable insights and continuously optimise operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multiple cross‑functional, data‑driven technology projects, systems or processes simultaneously.
• Hands‑on experience working closely with software development teams and a solid understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
• Strong analytical mindset capable of translating complex technical issues into actionable solutions with minimal supervision.
