Temporary HR Business Partner – Derby (Hybrid)

About the role

This temporary, hands‑on HR Business Partner position supports two key UK business areas and a finance‑aligned team within a European matrix structure. Reporting to the HR Director, you will work closely with senior stakeholders, including the Finance Director, to provide expert guidance on day‑to‑day people matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HR partnership to senior leaders, delivering commercial‑focused advice on employee relations, disciplinaries and grievances.
• Manage employee relations cases, including complex outcomes where required.
• Support and contribute to people and cultural projects across the business.
• Assist in updating policies and processes to align with upcoming ERA changes.
• Collaborate with a dedicated HR Administrator to focus on strategic partnering.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong employee‑relations knowledge and ability to handle disciplinaries and grievances confidently.
• Ability to quickly build credibility with senior stakeholders and operate at pace.
• Experience working within a matrix organisation, preferably with finance‑aligned teams.
