About the role
Leader Education is seeking passionate tutors to support young people with SEND, SEMH, LAC and EOTAS in and around Greater Manchester. You will work directly with disengaged, at‑risk and vulnerable learners, delivering personalised, trauma‑informed education that boosts engagement and outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group tutoring tailored to each learner’s additional educational needs.
- Design and deliver creative, flexible lessons using a variety of teaching methods, including drama, arts and practical activities.
- Monitor progress, adjust interventions and report outcomes to the wider support team.
- Maintain a safe, supportive environment in line with safeguarding and DBS requirements.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent professional teaching qualification.
- Minimum two years of experience teaching or supporting young people with additional educational needs.
- Experience working with SEND, SEMH, LAC or EOTAS learners.
- Enhanced DBS (can be obtained through Leader Education at cost).
- Two professional references.
Required skills
- Knowledge of SEND and SEMH interventions.
- Ability to create trauma‑informed, holistic learning experiences.
- Strong organisational and record‑keeping skills.
