UK Tax Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a UK Tax Specialist to join our United Kingdom team in Christchurch, Dorset. Reporting to the Senior Tax Director and working under the International Tax Manager, you will be responsible for UK corporate tax compliance and support for multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare UK corporate income tax returns and perform return‑to‑accrual reconciliations.
• Assist with Research and Development Expenditure Credit (RDEC) and Transfer Pricing reporting.
• Review periodic corporate tax and VAT account reconciliations.
• Support quarterly and year‑end tax accounting for US GAAP reporting.
• Prepare Corporate Interest Restriction (CIR) returns and calculate interest deductibility.
• Research and respond to VAT and other tax queries.
• Monitor HMRC legislative changes and assess impact on the UK group.
• Assist with HMRC income tax and VAT audits.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in UK corporate tax compliance.
• CIOT qualification or equivalent professional tax certification.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with UK tax return software.
• Advanced Excel skills.
