About the role
Our Catholic primary school in South Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join the team from September 2026. This full‑time, fixed‑term position runs for one academic year and offers the chance to work in a supportive, well‑behaved environment where pupils love coming to school.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, challenging lessons tailored to Year 4 pupils.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom that promotes academic and personal development.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents and the wider school community to support student well‑being.
- Assess, monitor and report on progress, providing constructive feedback and setting targets.
- Uphold the Catholic ethos and values in all teaching and community activities.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching in primary education, preferably Year 4.
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment strategies.
- Commitment to promoting the Catholic ethos and values.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
