3rd Line Service Desk Engineer – Oxford

About the role

Join a fast‑growing Managed Service Provider as a 3rd Line Service Desk Engineer. You will act as the senior escalation point for a diverse client base, handling complex incidents from start to resolution while supporting cloud, infrastructure, networking and security technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior‑level escalation support for technical issues across multiple clients.
• Own complex incidents, troubleshoot, and drive them to successful resolution.
• Maintain and support Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory and Windows Server environments.
• Assist with networking components such as switches, wireless devices and firewalls.
• Contribute to projects including migrations, upgrades and new deployments.
• Collaborate closely with other engineers to deliver high‑quality service both remotely and on‑site.

Required profile

• Strong experience in IT Support, Infrastructure or Managed Services.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory and Windows Server.
• Good understanding of networking technologies (switches, wireless, firewalls).
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
• Experience with Linux, macOS, cyber‑security tools, backup solutions, hosted telephony or MSP environments is a plus.
