A320 Family Chief Engineer Placement – 12.5 months

About the role

Join Airbus’s UK Single‑Aisle Chief Engineers team for a 12.5‑month placement in Filton, Bristol. You will work on the wing, fuel system and landing‑gear of the best‑selling A320 family, gaining hands‑on experience in aircraft development and fleet support.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire in‑depth knowledge of aircraft development processes and decision‑making in the aerospace industry.
• Work flexibly across fuel systems, wing structure and landing‑gear disciplines, supported by senior chief engineers.
• Contribute to multiple projects with high variability, demonstrating rapid learning and active involvement from day one.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate in a numerate degree programme for the full placement duration.
• Competent user of Google Office tools.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to collaborate within diverse teams.
• Passion for aircraft, proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
