Accommodation Manager

About the role

We are looking for an autonomous Accommodation Manager to lead the day‑to‑day experience of residents in a purpose‑built 70‑bed student housing site in Birmingham. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, managing the building and supporting occupancy and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, visitors and prospective tenants.
• Welcome visitors, conduct site tours and showcase the accommodation.
• Manage diaries, appointments and booking arrangements for the site.
• Foster strong relationships with residents to promote a positive community atmosphere.
• Collaborate with marketing to promote seasonal social events for students.
• Respond promptly to enquiries in person, by phone or email.
• Maintain accurate records, logs and general site administration.
• Ensure the property is presented professionally and remains a high‑quality living environment.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties required to support the site.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and rapport‑building abilities.
• Strong front‑facing customer service experience.
• Confidence interacting with residents, visitors and external contacts.
• Organised, reliable and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Professional, approachable and proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Good IT proficiency, including familiarity with social media platforms.

What we offer

• £30,000 base salary plus an annual bonus of approximately £3,000‑£6,000.
• 40‑hour week, Monday‑Friday with occasional weekend work as needed.
• 28 days holiday plus bank holidays.
