Account Director - Smart Managed Solutions

About the role

Smart Managed Solutions is looking for an experienced Account Director to lead the operational and commercial performance of a key client contract within its portfolio. The role covers maintenance of M&E systems, leading on-site teams and driving service excellence, while managing a contract P&L, controlling costs and meeting performance targets. It is based in London Bridge.

Key responsibilities

• Own planned preventative maintenance and reactive works, ensuring 100% statutory and contractual compliance
• Lead, coach and develop engineering teams through briefings, toolbox talks and performance appraisals
• Produce accurate monthly client reports and maintain professional client communication
• Manage QHSE audits, documentation and performance standards
• Oversee additional works, quotations and supplier performance against contractual and commercial requirements
• Manage budgets, monitor spend and protect P&L performance across a circa £3m contract portfolio
• Identify and deliver improvements to service delivery, operational efficiency and commercial performance

Required profile

• 2-5 years' experience in facilities management or operational contract management
• Experience leading and developing managers or teams
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems and operational processes
• Confident managing budgets, financial performance and reporting
• Excellent communication skills focused on client relationships
• Desirable: 18th Edition, C&G 2391 or Mechanical/HVAC qualifications
